Go and Serve


SERVANT. It's not a pretty word. It's not a title that people pursue. King sounds better doesn't it?
Or how about President or CEO? yet the most powerful man who ever lived chose to define himself by the word servant. By his example he has asked us to do the same:

Mark 10:42 So Jesus called them together and said,
“You know that in this world kings are tyrants, and officials lord it over the people beneath them.

Mark 10:43 But among you it should be quite different.
Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,

Mark 10:44 and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all.

Mark 10:45 For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served
but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.”
