REGISTRATION?

When registering on-line,  consider yourself confirmed when you receive an e-mail confirmation. Seating is reserved, and where you’re seated is determined by the date we receive your registration. (We do this to keep groups together, keep lunch and dinner breaks relaxing, and eliminate rushing-in to “save” seats.  We also appreciate early registrations. They help determine our conference budget, so we think registering early should have its perks.)

Reserved Seating

Reserved seating is determined by registration date, and space available. It helps the conference run smoothly and allows groups to sit together without the anxiety of trying to find a large group of seats together.

Check-in?

4pm  Thursday in the lobby of downtown Albany’s Crown Plaza Hotel. You will only need one person to check-in for your group.

Doors Open?

Thursday Night at 6:00pm; Friday and Saturday Morning 8:30am.

Pastor/Leader Sessions.

The Generation Conference is a two-fold ministry to youth, and their leaders. On each morning of the conference, while the youth are in the main session, special Pastors/Leaders’ sessions are held.  The first of two speakers begins at 10am. All sessions end at 12 noon. There are no afternoon pastor and leader sessions.

Pastors’ Social

The Pastors’ Social is a complimentary luncheon sponsored by the Generation Conference. Not a sit-down luncheon, and though there’s plenty of food, it’s not the focus.  Here’s a chance to meet other pastors, exchange ideas and network together  Many leaders have expressed their appreciation of the things they’ve gleaned from other leaders during this time. At check-in, your church will be given two passes to the Saturday luncheon. It will be held immediately following the leaders’ sessions in a room at the Crown Plaza.

Group rates

The downtown Albany Crown Plaza has enough rooms for everyone to sleep over and we hope you will.  They have been friendly to us, and are willing to work with us on the cost of meeting space.  The more groups that register into the hotel, the better for the conference. We need to meet a quota of rooms reserved, in order to not pay extra for our meeting space, which means those funds can be used to bring in speakers, sound & lighting equipment and the like.

Please reserve your groups’ rooms ASAP. Reserve before October 1 to get a reduced rate.
The hotel is used to accommodating groups of our size, and will be offering food items for sale near the conference meeting room.

Local Fast food

We will be posting a map of the surrounding area near the conference.

Age recommendations for this conference?

The Conference is recommended for ages 12 and older. We hope that  youth leaders and youth pastors, will help us by honoring this policy. We understand that some youth groups include 11 year olds and some 10 year olds. There are no reduced rates for younger ages. Please make other arrangements for younger children.

Dress code?

Dress is casual. We are trying to provide an environment for ministry, we ask that clothing would not be distracting or immodest.

Can I register for one day?

There is no partial or single day registration. Conference seating is reserved based on the order we receive the registrations. Seats are reserved for the full three days. If you can only come for a portion of the conference, your seat will be reserved for you, but there will no discount for days not in attendance.
We realize there are some Christian events that are held for several days in a row that offer the option of choosing times that you would like to take part. The Generation Conference is not that type of event. The Conference differs in that it is a corporate meeting of young people that have come with their local churches for a concentrated time with God. Beginning on the first evening, momentum builds, one speaker adding to another. During these three days, minds and hearts are able to focus, attention not drawn to one specific speaker or another.

Can I bring my child or nursing infant to the conference?

While families are important to us, the Generation Conference is an event for junior high, high school, and college age. Childcare is not available.
